Why We Started
Section titled “Why We Started”Moving across borders is rarely glamorous.
Before building this map, we traveled light. Just a backpack, endless lines, and unfamiliar streets. We know what it feels like to count coins for a simple meal. We know the stress of looking for a free power plug. Sometimes you just need a bench where no one tells you to move.
We took inspiration from the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard in Matthew 20. The owner hired laborers who stood waiting all day simply because nobody gave them a chance. They still received a full day’s wage. They still had families to feed. It reminds us that everyone has needs, even when the world overlooks them.
You might be an expat, a student, or a digital nomad. You might just be starting over with empty pockets. You deserve a foothold. We built this project to keep basic survival resources free, open, and easy to find for everyone.
Who We Are

We run this as a small, independent group. No subscriptions. No paywalls. We rely on public data and tips from people walking the same streets.
